NovaTrakt is designed as an alternative to older or more clumsy GPS Video Players.
NovaTrakt is designed and tested to work specifically with GPS Videos created by a VIOFO A119. Although similar devices powered by a Novatek NT96660 processors, for example the VIOFO A119S, will also work. (See the FAQ for a list of cameras known to work with NovaTrakt)
NovaTrakt provides all of your GPS Video information in one simple window, with an easy to use interface. With your journeys automatically presented to you as one trip.


System Requirements

• Windows 7 or higher, 32-bit or 64-bit
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher
• An internet connection

Compatible Cameras

• VIOFO A119 (F/W 2.01 is not compatible)
• VIOFO A119S (F/W 1.0.1 onwards)
• StreetGuardian SG9663DC *

My A119 V2 has latest firmware and just checked the SD card from the camera and the three minute files are saved correctly and play ok on my windows 10 PC.. however when I try and load my SD card clips to Nova Trakt it gets as far as DCIM>Movies but then shows no files as being saved on the card for viewing??...unsure what I may possibly be doing wrong.. Latest version of Nova Trakt is installed...

I think NovaTrakt is having some issues. Try https://dashcamviewer.com/ it plays great but only 2 files at a time in the free version.

I tried Nova a few weeks ago.

When I set it to a folder with the MP4 files in it just shutdown. Set it to a folder with no MP4 files, it stayed running and correctly reported no files.

Same thing for me on Windows 10, select the folder and it just closes.

Does anyone have this playing footage and GPS on Windows 10 for an A119s?

I have the latest version but it doesn't see any files and just closes?!?!

Try to find an older version or use the Dashcam Viewer link above.

It all depends on what you want.

The MP4 videos will play well in Firefox, WMP or VLC.

If you want to track where you are on a map then either Dashcam Viewer (as mentioned above), or Nextbase Replay 3 if you want to load more than 2 files.

Nextbase Replay stutters on anything over 1080p, If you can live with the stutter it a good alternative.

Hmmm, seems to work OK for my A119 footage.

But, I've only tried it in the default window, not full screen. Also, my graphics/monitor setup is 144hz, up from the standard 50 or 60, which may help.

Just tried Nextbase Replay again. Have not tried it since I have had my new PC. It now does play video larger than 1080p without stutter but there is no option for full screen. The full screen icon only enlarges the video but does not fill the screen and is framed and only if you do not want to see the route map. Not displaying in full frame so detail will be lost in reduction but quite acceptable if it is the route map that is most important.

Hi Guys,

Really sorry, email notifications aren't coming through for this thread, so I've missed a lot of replies here. (I've just turned on notifications in Chrome, so hopefully that'll help)

I'll try and answer some of the issues/questions below...



There are currently no plans for mac/android as that would require a complete re-write

When opening the "files" in novatrakt, you should select the folder containing your videos (I.E X:\DCIM) not try and open the files directly.
The button is labelled as Open Folder, although I'll try and make this a bit clearer in the future. This is due to a limitation and a workaround in C# WPF file dialog windows.


For those of you where NovaTrakt just closes when selecting your folder, is there anything in the log file? I've not been able to re-produce this error, although my A119 is still running an older firmware, so this may be an issue.

Good news is Chrome notifications are working!

If the program crashed, I'm not sure it would have written anything to the log, but it's worth checking first Will wait to hear back from you

Yep, it crashed.

I briefly saw an "Error ~" message but too quick to read.

Where is the logfile as nothing in the program folder looks obvious.
