So I have my new Blackvue camera hardwired into my car with a Cellink B battery pack for power during parking recording.

My only issue is that Blackvue cameras don't have a physical power button. When I park at home (in my garage) I don't need the camera running. With my Thinkware F770 I could press the power button, but with my Blackvue 750 I have to pull the power connector (this could lead to stress on the plug).

I found a 12v inline switch solution on Aliexpress. Unfortunately they only make switches with 5.5 x 2.1mm connectors, so two male/female 1.35mm x 3.5mm adapters are needed to be compatible with the Blackvue power port.

They list shipping as 20 to 50 days, but I received my order very quickly. :);)

Couldn't you have just turned off the Cellink B...

Well, firstly, the cellink B doesn't have a power switch, it only charges itself when the vehicle in ON (acc) and stored power output is constant when it has a charge.

Secondly, the cellink b is permanently installed in my trunk, under the trunk lining.

It would'nt be hard for blackvue to add a physical power button. ...or they could simply recode the existing (wifi, format) button with a sequence to shutdown/power on.

I emailed them about that and they replied:

"We do not have the power button, since many customer wants the dashcam to run 24/7 (even in parking mode). Also, having a switch may be forgetful for some, so just plugging in/out will let your dashcam be on or off".

Interesting...my Cellink B "does" have an off/on switch and knowing I would want to turn it off when it's parked in my garage I mounted it in my glove box.

For me, my 650S-2CH does not tolerate heat at all. For me, even a mid-20s (celcius) sunny day pretty much guarantees the camera will die by mid-day. I do have a black interior, which probably doesn't help. But it's almost certainly not getting anywhere near the rated temperature tolerances (I think I'll endeavor to measure today, in the middle of a heat wave).
So an on/off switch would be more convenient than messing with that plug. I could have just soldered something in, but I like the somewhat OEM'ish look of the AliExpress switch. Of course, summer will be over by the time it gets here. :)

I, too, wanted the ability to turn off the camera when parked in my garage. I have a relatively short commute and the battery wouldn’t have time to recharge during my drive to work. I cut the power cord running from the camera to the Blackvue B-112 and spliced in a eMylo 12v 1 channel RF relay switch I picked up on Amazon for $14.49. It has 2 small remotes (I velcro’d one to my console and one is on my keychain) and I can switch it off when I park in my garage. Was easy to do; even for someone with my subpar electrical skills. Cheap and viable alternative for someone looking for this type of solution. I stole this idea from the car forum I belong to.

I just upgraded from the 650 to the new 900s + B-124 battery pack, the new dash cam is consuming a lot more power than the previous one.

The solution would be a GeoFencing option in either the dash cam or battery app. Set to OFF when it's in the garage.

We should all email Blackvue to request this feature.

Hello hope you still get this, I ordered the same stuff but did not work are these the rite links?

Evidently some have just added a switch on the ground line, no ground and the camera shuts off.
