Overheat in parking mode

Have you tried using a Class 10 card? Class 10's are specifically designed for high-demand repeated read/write use like our dashcam's demand, and have solved issues for others in the past (although the prox sensor isn't going to be tied to it at all)

The 'Lexar High-Performance microSDXC 633x 128GB UHS-I Card' is advertised as a class 10. It seems to work just as well as the BlackVue card that came with the camera. I think it's the camera itself that's flawed.

So far, this fan setup has worked. It's not the most attractive solution, but it's definitely more convenient than the ones that modified the case to attach a fan. Simply put, 3 25x25x10 fans were glued together, fitted with foam to create a semi-seal around the camera's vents, and was placed on top of the camera. No modification of the camera, no gluing anything on the camera, just 3 fans held in place by the edge of the headliner. The fans only engage when the car is off, once it's on they turn back off. We'll see just how long it does the trick.

Blackvue is advertising their new 750 lineup is supposed to be more heat resistant than our 2yr old 650S antique models. So all we have to do is spend another $400 ... then cross your fingers, that blackvue (hopefully) improved the hideous performance in parking mode where the slightest motion at the lowest #1 setting still triggers multiple non-existent motion alert notices.
