Panorama S reverting back to factory settings

I purchased 2 Panorama S in September of 2015 from pier28. 1 of them no longer retains any settings after powering down. Any suggestions on what i can do to fix it?
About section in camera says

Firmware 1 .15 .02

Most likely your supercaps need to be changed.

it will be the RTC battery on the mainboard which needs replacing, if you have any of those types of businesses that do on the spot mobile phone repairs that are often in shopping malls they would have the right type of equipment to be able to change the battery, the battery itself is only a few dollars

After the first reply I removed the caps.
Then I noticed the second reply.
Looking at the battery I decided I'd be better off trying to get a specialist to replace the battery and caps. I went to a phone repair place close by and they suggested 2 places that do micro soldering (they never bothered to look inside the cam I had already pulled apart) Would it be correct to say the caps are soldered and the battery is micro-soldered?
Instead of trying to fix it I decided i'm going to try to put the caps back in and use the cam for home surveillance and get a new cam for the vehicle.

anywhere that has a hot air soldering setup would be able to change the battery
