Apparently, Papago has a new dashcam called Geko. At first, I thought it was not really by Papago since there doesn't appear to be any Papago branding on it (the branding says GEKO instead) but searching around, it seems it really is by Papago. Has anyone tried out this dashcam or know anything about its internals?

Maybe @PAPAGO! can answer what chip/processor it has.

As per this site: http://www.provantage.com/papago-e1008g~7PAPA00Q.htm
E100's format is AVI so definitely Ambarella if that's true.

Pretty small and interesting design.

I looked at some 1080p youtube video samples for this dashcam, and the video quality doesn't look good during day or night.

According to one youtube video,
, the back of the box gives a Papago service email address. Other web searches associate this dashcam with Papago.

The dashcam is advertised to be heat resistant. Not sure if this means it uses a capacitor. Also, not sure what's with the night vision LEDs in the front. I would think that Papago (if they are really the makers of this) would know that such LEDs are useless for a dashcam.

I find it hard to believe it's Papago, maybe one of the agents that does Papago does this model

can confirm the new North American online Store GEKO is a division of PAPAGO Inc,
I sent an inquiry email for E100 & new X100 Dashcams to the support email address on the Geko website http://www.mygekogear.com/products/ and the replay came stamped with the PAPAGO Inc. logo + 1-844 phone + papagoin.com url at bottom.
