Hi All,
Having a problem with the camera continuously recording even through the night. Any way to stop this?
TIA.

you mean a constant record as if the same as when you're driving? or are you saying it's too sensitive even in parking mode that it just isn't shutting off when there's nothing going on?

Same issue ,, although i just upgraded to V3.91 , but i don't think they made any changes to Park or Motion.

One possibility is that a light such as a flashing security light inside the car is triggering the camera to continue full recording. Motion detection is pretty sensitive to changing light as well as motion.

If where you park is fairly busy with traffic and the camera senses motion (including changing light) in the camera FOV, the Parking Mode motion detection will keep the camera from going to Standby or Time-lapse modes. The only way I know to force the camera to Standby (indicated by a green power button light) is to cover the lens for a couple of minutes until the power button green light comes on. This would be hard to do from inside the car because the G-sensor would probably trigger the camera to resume normal recording when you exit the car. Not too practical either, but you could try draping a cloth over the outside of the windshield for a couple of minutes covering the camera field of view to force the camera into Standby Mode. Theoretically the camera needs to sense no motion in the field of view and detect no camera movement (by G-sensor) for 90 seconds to initiate Standby/Time-lapse Recording modes. When the cloth is removed, the camera may switch to Time-lapse recording and back to Standby dependent on the motion sensed. But it won't go back to normal recording without a G-sensor trigger such as a bump to the car or you re-entering the car. Then the camera won't go back to Standby/Time-lapse recording until the conditions described above are again met.

Recording in Parking Mode mostly saves space on the microSD card, but not much power (some savings only in Standby Mode - not recording). An alternate solution is to just use the Time-lapse mode instead, but this requires you to turn it on {Edit: when you park} and then off again when you drive. You can also use a combination of Time-lapse and Motion detection, which just records Time-lapse when motion is sensed in the FOV.

You might have other options in the future if what @viofo says here applies to existing A119 series units: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/viofo-a119s-official-beta-firmware.36026/#post-429694.
Edit: I doubt a 3 wire solution because of hardware, but there has been talk of adding a two wire option to the A129.
