all fully updated.

I installed the program yesterday on my home pc (before only had it at work), so it's not a case of "it worked before"

Maybe it's because i recently compressed my SSD which holds all programs & windows itself. the drive is not so big & was runnig out of space
(all my files are on a 2nd "normal" HD)
though this seems highly unlikely as all other programs still function...

files are indeed fine..
maybe a codec pack that's installed is interfering with th program…?
but as i said before.. it can be a million things…. sigh
thanks any case your kind feedback

any firewall or AV software setup on that computer? The program pulls data from an external server for map info etc, that can cause false positives for some AV and firewall programs

let me double check - i do have avast (but also on my work pc without problems) and cyberghost
but switched off the later already yesterday which did not help
any case will try this evening with both programs switched off.. let's see

nope, nothing.
do you think an installed codec pack could be the culprit ? (I doubt it but...)

Completely forgot to update this:

Turned out my PC had 2 video cards installed (this is not uncommon apparently)
disabled one and all was well again
(have another video editor for my bicycle camera where the image wouldn't load, which was fixed too )
