Hi everyone

I have hardwired M6 plus through a piggy back fuse thing which then gives me two usb ports, one of which I use to power the dashcam.

I was thinking of adding a powerbank between usb port and dashcam and if that's a good idea?
I want continuous power to the dashcam for parking mode when the engine is off. I drive a lot so wouldn't worry about charging the powerbank as it'll charge as long as the car is running and will stop charging and shouldn't drain car battery when engine is off.

What are pros and cons of having a power bank something like this?

Thanks in advance.

I used a similar rig. The powerbank reloads while car is on and feeds the camera while car is off. As an idea should work, just make sure the powerbank switches is always on and can charge while feeding the battery, not all of them do that. Also the bank will suffer from deep discharges so the life will shorten quickly if the batteries are not of quality.
