PMP power issues when car is turned off (correct wiring)

If.. you feel it is related to cold.. and (older) batteries do loose voltage when the temperature drops.. check the voltage of your battery with a multi-meter when the PMP has shut off. You may be surprised.. or be able to determine the PMP could be at fault.

Yea my car is only a few months old so highly unlikely to be a battery issue.

My multi-meter is reading 11.8v at the fuses when my PMP is shut off so it makes sense.

I.. would have the charging system checked out.. a new battery in a new car.. should.. be holding a higher voltage than that.

Something I will keep in mind, but two other owners of the same car with the same set-up also reported the PMP powering down now that the temperatures have fallen. I have switched off the PMP now so only run it when I am out.

If the issue still persists in the warmer months then I will look into my car more closely.
