Batteries ( pouch batteries mainly ) swelling up will push off screens on dashcams or phones for that matter.
Not sure if these have batteries though.
Nextbase was once popular but their latest series of dashcams have pretty much been not good at all,. and so it will be hard to recommend them.

Tends to happen in the autumn, after the hot weather, from what I have seen, but yes, it is caused by hot weather. Lipo batteries are not suitable for dashcams.
I think Nextbase probably keep using lipo batteries because most people are not as sensible as you, and just buy another Nextbase!
Plenty of dashcam manufacturers use super capacitors instead, try Viofo...

I have. Nextbase nv222 x I think and I don’t seem to have a problem with the video on them.
However, my biggest issue is the double sided sticky tabs that are supplied with them and the extra sticky tabs you can buy.
During the hot weather, he sticky tabs have failed quite badly,I’ve had to resort to the suction cup mounting plate and I’ve put a sticky tabs on and it’s fail by falling off, so I’ve taken matters into my own hands and brushed some Gorilla super glue onto the base of the dash cam , put the sticky pad on and then added another generous amount of gorilla super glue onto the other side of the pad and the stuck this to the suction cup holder..
