Power Button Sounds

When pressing the power button i get a series of beeps, either three or four, i think. What do these mean? I have looked in the book both online and the one given and can't find the answer.

Same here I fitted mine yesterday and mine does the bleeps but I'm not sure if it is turning it on or off, I'm wondering what the function of the button is.
 
If you press and hold the on off button for a few seconds the unit switches off.
