Power Magic Battery Pack - 2 different modes

I just got my new Power Magic Battery Pack and have a few question before I install it.

The manual doesn´t say to much, but it has 2 modes. Continuous and Cigar-mode.

1. Can I set it to be in Continuous-mode always? The manual says it´s in Cigar-mode as factory default.

Any idea how I should get it into the right mode? Or if there is any difference when connected to the battery. A bit confused...

2. Do i need to let the buttons be visible? Can I use it hidden completely? It´s a bit to large to find a place where it is visible but still hidden.

1. It goes into continuous-mode where connected to the battery - always.

2. No, hide it.
