I bought a A229 duo last black Friday to replace my A129 duo, which I plan to move into my wife's car. I currently use an OBD power supply which has a very low voltage cut off (11.6V if recall correctly) or 5 minute overrun modes. I have always been worried of running the battery too low, so only use the cut off mode occasionally for short periods of time (unless I forget to turn it off). I bought the OBD power supply as in my last car it was not possible to access the fuse box.

Firstly do I require a HK4 hard wire kit for the A229 duo?

My OBD port is easily accessible. I was wondering if it's possible to connect hard wire kit to an OBD port/power supply, so I can use the higher voltage cut off options on the HK4? Or does anyone know of an ODB power supply with more voltage cut off options?

Or can anyone recommend one of the portable power bank options and what kit I would need?
