I no longer feel sorry for those folks in SoCal because they know the dangers but ignore them. Even the LA Times newspaper has said it's time to abandon the worst of the fire and mudslide prone areas forever, yet these people will be going right back doing the exact same wrong things all over again There is no totally safe place to live- everywhere has it's particular dangers- but most of the world adapts to that instead of insisting that there is nothing wrong with they way they're doing things. LA is a plan to fail and it does that quite regularly
