Is it possible to delete private messages WITHOUT opening/reading them, and not be contactable by PM, is there a setting that prevents this ?

I don't know about deleting private messages but you can elect not to receive PMs by simply unchecking the appropriate box in your preferences.



Why would you want to delete messages you haven't even read? Personally, I've had many enjoyable and enlightening private conversations with people that could never have occurred in public. Occasionally, I hear from people who have been members for quite some time with a comment or a question but who have never posted publicly to the forum.
