Q200 Wiring Question ?

Can anyone tell me out of all the Thinkware Dashcams, which ones are compatible with my existing Q200 wiring ?

I'm just considering my options of upgrading to a better spec set up on a budget 🤣 and ideally, possibly use the existing rear camera.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, there's no compatible dash cam with your Q200 wiring except if you are using a hardwiring, OBD II power cable or a 12V power cable.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. I'm using the Thinkware OBDII to power them.

So does that give me options ?

OBD II power cable is compatible with all Thinkware Dash Cams except F790, but the rear camera and its rear camera cable need to be replaced if you are switching to another Thinkware Dash Cam model

Is the wiring for the F200 and Q200 the same ?

My daughter has the 2 Channel F200 in her car and I'm thinking of giving her my 2 Channel Q200.

I'm hoping it's just a case of unplug the cameras and reconnect 👍

Just so that I'm 100% sure...
My daughter has the F200 front (1080p) and the F200 rear (720p), if I get the Q200 (2k) and the Q200 rear (1080p), I don't have to change ANY of the wiring at all ?

If I was being tight fisted, would her existing F200 (720p) rear work with the front Q200 ?

Yes, the F200 rear camera is compatible with the Q200 front as well as the rear camera cable
