Q800 hotspot

Complete newbie here regarding hotspots. Had Q800 installed recently and coming to terms with it. Need help with hotspot. I can connect Q800 to my created hotspot on my android phone, all okay and working. Now the stupid part, once done if I want to go shopping, park up, switch off, lock up, take my phone with me...or do I need to leave my phone in the car for my dashcam to connect to its hotspot. Doesn't make sense to me. Said I was a newbie at this. Any help just to understand it would help

Yes, you have to leave a smartphone or any kind of a wlan-accesspoint (e.g. CarConnect (T-Mobile in Germany)- a small OBDII-powered router with a SIM-Card - to connect your Q800 Pro to the internet. Otherwise you will not receive any message from your DashCam when you leave your car.
