Hello, I live in Korea.
I haven’t been a member for very long, but I’m getting a lot of information here about the dashcams I use. :-D
They don’t sell the S1 4K (2ch) in Korea, but I’m thinking of buying it through another method. 🙂
Is there a feature in the S1 4K that allows the front camera to record at a lower resolution in parking mode and at a higher resolution in driving mode?(Auto-conversion feature)
I’m asking because I have a question before making a purchase.
Considering the primary reasons why one might reduce resolution during parking mode, we find no compelling rationale for the S1 4K Infinite to compromise its quality:
Overcoming Storage Limitations:
=> Event videos are recorded and stored separately, with built-in file locking to prevent critical footage from being overwritten.
Mitigating Thermal Shutdown Risks:
=> The S1 4K Infinite incorporates our proprietary DuraShift thermal management system. The unit actively manages its operating temperatures under high-heat conditions, ensuring it does not shut down due to heat.
Extending Parking Recording via Power Reduction:
=> Power efficiency is effectively handled through our Hybrid Mode using ELPM (Extreme Low Power Mode).
For example, the device captures continuous parking footage during the critical first 2 to 3 hours(any preset time duration) after parking, and then smoothly transitions into ELPM for long-term monitoring.
Compromising a 4K camera by forcing it to record in FHD or similar remains an impractical tradeoff. Therefore, we are not considering resolution scale-down approaches. Instead, we are actively evaluating the integration of a Radar Module to support Buffered Event Recording.
Furthermore, please note that all VUEROID products—including the S1 4K Infinite—undergo rigorous cold-temperature testing prior to release (operational testing down to -30°C and cold boot testing down to -20°C). As a result, our devices deliver reliable, stable performance in extreme cold as well as high-temperature environments.
The group purchase is scheduled to proceed in the week following the Chuseok holiday. Please refer to the updates regarding the group purchase that will be posted on the Naver cafe.
Have a good day~
