I just installed an A129 duo and now wondering if Buffered Parking Mode is enabled for all parking modes? Meaning the parking G sensor is always active whichever parking mode is selected (auto event, time lapse x, low bit rate)? Or Buffered parking mode only work on some parking modes like Auto event detection or low bit rate?

Also when selecting auto event detection, does this automatically include motion detection?

Buffered parking mode is only in Auto Event Detection. It does have motion detection.

There is no need for a buffer for the other modes since they are recording all the time.

For event detection mode, visual detection is the main trigger for recording to memory card. Should also trigger on g-sensor.

Thanks everyone. I wish Viofo would include the option to turn off motion detection during auto detect parking mode on their next SW update for use when parking in high traffic areas.

If you use low-bitrate mode then it doesn’t matter...

It's gonna be tedious looking through hours of 3 min clips instead of a locked file indicating the G sensor trip event.

If the g-sensor activates then the clip will be locked and so easy to find, you only need to search if the event isn’t detected. Might then be inconvenient to have to search, but at least it is available if needed, which it wouldn’t be if you relied upon the g-sensor.

Ohhh... So the parking G sensor is also active in low bit rate mode.. That is nice. Is it also active in the other time lapse parking mode?

No Idea, bump for answer though
