Hello, brand new to this and I’m a little confused on hardwiring a cam. Looking at the BlackVue DR900 and I’d like to wire the camera up to run when the vehicle is on. Can I just purchase the fuse tap and that’s it or do I need to purchase something like the Power Magic Pro? Apologies if this has been asked already...

Too many ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the parking mode is automated on these so it only needs power, the Power Magic Pro stops you getting stuck with a flat battery though as it would otherwise just continue to run for as long as power was available

Yes, find a fuse that comes on while the vehicle is running.. install fuse tap.. and you are good. If, you connect to an ACC fuse, your camera will stay on while the key is in the ACC mode. The camera goes into park mode on its own if it detects no movement over some period of time... which means, your camera will stay on if/as you sit "just" listening to the radio or using any ACC function.
