Reading SD card files in smartphone (Samsung)

Got card reader & adapters with view to accessing dash cam files when I was out & about

Said 'files could not be read'
 
It could be a case of missing codec, i would try to DL another media player for the phone
 
Older versions of Android can not access the exFAT file system. I believe there was an app that allowed that. Android 13 and later support exFAT natively.
Most cameras use FAT regardless of how big the memory card is even though the SD card specification requires exFAT for memory cards larger than 32gb, but I believe Viofo at least has started to support exFAT.
