@Neil Zhou welcome to the forum.

I use two methods depending on the type of car and the wire gauge.

In both cases the some of the wiring goes down the A pillar usually for power.

For the rear camera I'll tuck it up under the head liner on either side of the car but it depends on the car design.

The other method i also use for stereo installs is running the cables along the cavity under doors then up the c pillar to the rear window.

Excess cable i store in or under the dash.

Lastly one important point is i find the path with the least amount of sharp turns and strain on any of the cables.

I haven't done any of the latest cars which could be very different due to at the very least all the airbags.

I couldn't read your attachment easily on my phone due to the text size being so small.

What are you showing by including the attachment? I didn't understand.

Wow, didn't expect such a quick reply!

Thanks for the detailed reply — just to clarify, the attachment was just some review screenshots I found. I've been going through negative reviews on dash cams lately, and the most common complaint is overheating. Also some smaller issues like SD card compatibility, and the G-sensor being too sensitive — triggering constant event photo captures on bumpy roads.

Honestly, I recently got a job related to dash cams, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can from this forum and real buyer reviews.
