Recommended settings

Hi all
Received my new Panorama IIS today. Well boxed and looks a nice product.
Just wondering what settings most recommend...ie G-sensor, Resolution size (have 32GB card at present) and most important what firmware...currently I have GLG300 Firmware 1.12.06 2014-04-22 18:00
Also I am not sure how I would 'save' a file from deletion. Say I saw an incident on the road and wanted to save that segment. What is the best way?

Resolution 1080P 30
You have the latest firmware but you can choose between 12,15,18 Mbps
