Recording issues

Hi all,

I have this camera and it is hard wired to a fuse that is not permanently live. Parking mode is on and the software is up to date as of today. When the camera is off and I rock the car as hard as I can, the camera will not come on. It only comes on when rocking is combined with motion in front of it or noise. Is this normal?

I’ve also noticed that sometimes while driving it turns off and stops recording despite having a constant power feed. Presumably it is because it assumes the car is parked but should it not turn on again when the car starts moving?

Hello Paddy,

The rocking motion is up and down, impacts don't usually happen on th eup/down axis so this is purposely less sensitive.

Try slamming the car door, or opening and shutting the boot. This should trigger it.

There is no optical sensor for detecting movement in front of the lens.
