Recently I had the opportunity to check out the new F17 Elite 4k 3 channel dash cam from RedTiger and I wanted to share my thoughts about it. This is actually my first RedTiger dash cam and I have to say, this is a feature packed and very high quality dash cam. First off, let’s start off with the package and contents:

Just like other dash cams, this includes everything that you need to get started, along with a 128GB memory card. I love that REDTIGER included a memory card with the package, that way users are ready to start using this thing after installation.

Speaking of installation, there are no surprises here. Everything installed fine with plenty of cable length for the rear camera, and I had no issues installing this in my Honda pilot. I also like that they opted for USB-C connections for both the rear camera and power connection.

Once installed, connecting to the RedTiger app was easy and straight forwarder. Like other dash cams, you connect directly via wifi, and after a few seconds, the connection is established and you have direct access to the camera and storage, and can do the typical live view of data feeds.

Also, I have to say that the menu is very easy to read and well laid out. The menu and font in some devices are hard to read but in the F17 Elite, RedTiger does a good job using icons with each menu item to help differentiate what each menu item is for. This really helps out as you go through the menus trying to access or change different features, such as voice control, internal recording, GPS info, and wifi connections.

It’s also very nice to have the GPS info built in, so you get the coordinates and MPH with your videos as well. I think it’s one of those things you may not think about but you will miss on some of the lower priced cameras.

And now, time to look at the cameras. The F17 Elite comes with dual STARVIS 2 Sensors with a 4k front camera and 2.5k rear and an internal cabin camera of 1080p. Overall the camera quality for all three cameras are very good. I had no issues with recording and everything seemed very clear.

Overall, I’m very happy with the F17 Elite from RedTiger. The screen was very easy to read and see and the menus were very responsive. The quality is definitely there in the overall build and cameras, and I also appreciate the features packed in this dash camera package.

You seems to have the main camera installed correctly, but the video footage is tilted right. Can it be corrected?

yep sure can, the front camera can be adjusted. I'll just have to go nudge it a little bit!
