Reduce recorded sound volume

Is there a way to reduce the sound that's being captured? I plan to use the camera to record videos while flying a Cessna, but the engine is very loud. This makes for very high volume videos.

Short of taping cotton over the microphone hole, is there a setting in the application that can reduce the sound volume being captured? I don't have it in front of me currently but thought I'd get some advice before going home and playing around with the application.

You can switch the audio recording off but you can't change the volume at which the Mobius records. Most editing software, even the free ones, will allow you to change the audio volume in post.
