Did anyone try it with nano? Does it display location?
 
I have used it, but my NanoQ almost never picks up any GPS data other than very occasionally the time so I wouldn't know if RV works with NanoQ GPS logs!
 
It looks like it is the same format as Mini 0806 so it should work.
 
I tried it once with the few files that i had signals(at the begining). I don't think the map showed up. I will go locate my old files (if i haven't deleted yet) and let you know.

The stuff in the log files is very similar, as far as I can tell without a side by side comparison, it is just missing the Altitude value.

I guess RV is reading the data from the video files though, and suspect there may be a problem with the video file data.

I've got 9 gps files with GPS data out of 288 gps files but I don't remember ever seeing any show up in RV, but with so little valid data I don't bother to check.
 
Do you know any other app that can read just GPS log files and plot them on Google maps for example?
 
Can google earth do it? I use a road profiler that has gps that use google earth to plot my track. I haven't try with dash cam gps yet.

the output from the GPS is identical, how it's embedded in the file though is completely different, Regsitrator Viewer would analyse the first file to determine what camera it was and how to interpret the data for display, there were several hundred possibilities from conversations I had with Vadim, he had unique identifiers for each model he had supported, sadly no chance of getting any new ones supported now, all the new models are now without this great program
 
I got it working (sort of) RV will display location (and other data) if you attach track file (from GPS directory) to each .MOV file. That of course asumes tat you have valid GPS data.

When I tried I could not get it working. what do you mean by attach the gps file? I tried copying the files into the same folder but i still did not get any GPS data.

In the video list, right click and "Ungroup All" Then right click on every .mov file and click "Attach Track" and select corresponding .log file from the GPS directory.

sounds like a big pain in the ass. but thanks!
 
I've been trying to get my track displayed without too much success.
This includes "Attaching the Track" as above.
If you look at the attached screenshot you'll see that the dc displays the GPS data, also the files in the rh pane shows a small gps icon but still no track.

I'm using v6.0.0.8

Anyone have any ideas?

What's inside of /GPS/2016_0606_160422_038.log file?
 
This- I assume you don't want the whole file its just the format your interested in?

That looks good to me. Is 6.0.0.8 the latest version? I can try it at home later tonight...

ah, that seems better. Shame I seem to be in France now!! o_O
But at least I can see a track.
