Replay jumping at 20 sec intervals

When I am replaying my recorded files, the image will (almost seamlessly) skip about 20 seconds. I'll be approaching an intersection, and then will suddenly appear beyond the intersection.
This is not happening on every file but with enough frequency that I am starting to wonder about the reliability and the possibility that I'll miss something important during one of these "skips"
According to my time stamp, I'm skipping (not recording) 20 second intervals.
I have a mini 0806 (latest firmware installed) and I am using 2 Samsung EVO 32GB SDHC Class 10/UHS-I Flash Memory Cards. My loop recording is set for 3 min.
Any ideas about what may be causing this?

turn motion detect off and you should enjoy continuous recordings again

the motion detect doesn't work too well, I wouldn't want to rely on it when driving
