2nd batch package looks same as the 1st batch and the camera and accessories are nicely packed and protected:

Package contents:

1. Lens with new housing that has tabs to lock on the mini HDMI cable and 3M mount.
(A small pouch with lens housing screw on tabs)
2. Camera Body and 3m mount with strain relief locking system.
3. 12v to dual 5v USB converter.
4. custom mini HDMI to mini HDMI cable.
5. USB to mini USB cable.
6. Positive power cable with waterproof inline fuse.
7. Negative/ground cable.
8. Scotch lock connectors.
9. Zip ties.
10. Quick start guide.
11. Pier28 Business Card.

So what's the difference in 2nd batch of BulletHD BIKER PRO camera compared to 1st?

There is no difference in camera hardware and software along with most of the included accessories.

There were few instances of video record issues in the 1st batch due to the optic nerve cable (custom tapered mini HDMI cable) becoming loose due to vibrations (from road/engine).
To prevent that from happening, there are two major changes in the 2nd batch:
1. There is new strain relief and lock on the body mount that screws around the mini USB and mini HDMI cable.
This works very well and the cables are locked in place very tight. I couldn't even budge it at all when pulling pretty hard. [4 screws and a compatible Allen wrench is included].
The camera body housing is same in 1st and 2nd batches so those with 1st batch can add the new mount with strain relief lock if needed.

2. The lens side also now has small tabs built into the housing that snaps into the notch of mini HDMI cable to prevent it from becoming loose. This is housing change so can't add on the 1st batch lens.
These two changes will ensure that the connection from lens to camera body is always tight and secure.
Also, the mini HDMI cable was enhanced for better contact and water resistance.

Below picture shows the new built-in tabs on the lens housing and strain relief lock on the body:

Here's the lens lock pieces that screws on together around the cable and lens housing's tabs:

The app is improved and now has more options, specially for loop time that can be set at 3 minute now.
Also, the app has more eye pleasing dark background.
Here are few screen grabs:

Folder and files:
F:\DCIM\100MEDIA
File names are not date time. Maybe firmware mod can do that.
3 minute file is around 388 mb in size and VBR is 17.6mbps overall.
That's very good VBR for Novatek based cameras.
Video Bit rate : 16.4 Mbps
Audio Bit rate : 512 Kbps

too bad you didn't mount the camera on your front bumper/grille. :D
It'll definitely be better scenery but no way to mount it like that on a car.
Also, it's newer car and windshield is pretty good so quality shouldn't be that less compared to outside minus the dashboard reflections.

Night video quality is pretty good and in line with other Novatek 96655 Aptina AR0330 based cameras.

This camera looks ideal, any long term reports on reliability?

Does the wireless app work on an iPad Mini? I'm not bothered about the wiring kit as my bike (Ducati Scrambler) has a USB socket.

I'm in the UK, where can I buy version 2 with the cable locks? Is this shipping now?

There were a few cable problems but the new cable clamps and new cable (new cable factory) enhanced the quality big time. The latest batch is much more "bullet" proof now (pun intended)

Be aware Ducati's are VERY electrically noisy. It's a bike for purest not for accommodating after market accessories unfortunately. YMMV

iPad mini is no problem.

I'm not sure if @niko has the v2 kit yet in the EU but he should be able to source them soon if not.

What are your shipping fees to UK? I'd be ordering a camera and a spare 1m cable. Are you now shipping the updated locks at both ends, lens and recorder?

I spoke with Niko, I can take your order as a favor if you require latest batch with locks on both ends. (Niko should have new stock sometime in November)

I won't have 100cm cables in stock until early November. (Only 200cm) Shipping to the UK should be less than $20USD

Agreed. I am waiting for new improved accessories batch, then can update my listing. Meanwhile Jon can handle shipping to EU.

Ok thanks guys, order placed with Pier28 (order# 100000815), please remember to send the new version with the improved cable and clamps. I can order a spare cable from Hiniko later on (not needed for the permanent install). I'll post up some footage and a review once I've got it set up.

Can you tell me the diameter and length of the lens module please? Just the optical tube, excluding the mount.
