Description and Features:
The A118C X40 looks similar to A118 that I reviewed before physically and comes with GPS module.
It's pretty small and discrete.
It's based upon Ambarella A7LA50 and supports up to 64GB microSD card.
Video Resolution: 1296P (2304 x 1296),2560 x 1080,720P (1280 x 720)

A118C X40 Folders, Files and Bit Rate:
Root has following folders:
gps: for gps text files.
DCIM > 100MEDIA: for video files
Player: has video player/software (registrator viewer and qt player)

File names do not have date and time.
Overall bit rate varies from around 12 mbps to 18.6 mbps with video @ 11.3 - 18.1 mbps and audio @ 128 kbps.

I do not like the camera, because sometimes when we stop the car, it breaks the last file.

I tested it in my car for 1 week, it destroyed the last file 5 times. :(


The energy in the capacitors sometimes does not close the camera properly.


 
Maybe wait 90 second and full charge capacitor battery, it's ok now


But last night I ran the car for 1.5 hours, and when I closed the contact, it broke the last file again.
 
My unit is okay.
No bad file so far.
