Camera does a nice job, especially at night from the rear considering the bright headlights.

Yes. The bitrate could be little higher for better details but pretty good as is.

More day video clips joined, from cloudy, overcast days:

Hi there @Sunny ! First timer here. Thanks for the review. Amazon Canada has this on lightning deal right now. Just wondering what your overall thoughts on this setup is? Also what memory card are you using for this setup?

Thanks!

It's very good so far.
The rear camera cable is well made and thick so need little more room if you want to mount under the headliners.
I'm using microcenter's 32gb card.

I had the rear camera right in the middle.
As a result, all rear videos have the heater's vertical line on them.
I moved it to one side and videos are much cleaner.

Left turner doesn't check left: @ 00:12 had to slam on brakes but it doesn't look that bad in the video.

Good driving/braking there. You could definitely see the front dip quickly versus your normal smooth braking elsewhere ;) Great vids from this cam (y)

looks like a great cam alright. they're all sold out on amazon at the moment. emailed the Aukey about when they will have new stock as i didn't see it available anywhere. only the single front camera is available

Hi There! I really appreciate this group! I do not have a dashcam ‘yet’! I am very impressed with the Aukey DR02D w/ Sony Exmore. In Canada on Amazon the price is $169.99 All of my questions about this camera have been answered by this thread! Thank you! I think this super capacitor unit is a better fit for me, considering the temperature ranges experienced where I live. I will post again after purchasing a camera! Again, Thank you all for your great detailed posts!

Welcome to DCT Dave :)
Yes, Sunny does excellent thorough cam reviews here- he's one of my faves for this kind if thing (y) We're all here to help others find the cam which is right for them and discuss ways to better get what we want from our cams so if you do have any questions or problems just make a post and you'll get tons of help

This is a very useful thread. :)

I fitted one of these kits to my Jaguar XF earlier this year and it's been faultless. It's been unusually hot in the UK with two months of 30C + temperatures, meaning that the inside of parked cars will get over 40C (or over 100F) and there were no problems at all. Capacitor charge was unaffected, and the adhesive held no problem.

Mine are fitted top centre of both screens and easily get good coverage.

Mostly Pros, but one con I've noticed is that when clicking the button to keep a recording as read only, it doesn't do this intelligently, it just keeps whichever segment is the current one. So where I have it set to take 3 minute recordings, if something happens and the recording is 2 minutes 55 seconds in, and you press the button 10 seconds later - it will not keep the correct file. I hope they can address this via a firmware update.
