This camera is based on Novatek NT96655 chip and records 1080p video @ 30fps.
This is advertised as the World's first motorcycle specific camcorder and looking at the design and different parts specifically made for riding, it's rightfully so.
It's water resistant: The mini USB and HDMI ports are deep in the camera body and lens to seal water as well as the USB tip also comes with a small rubber washer for the 12v to 5v converter.
Also the tapered HDMI tips help in this matter.

Unboxing Video: Handlebar swap @ 8:30.

Package is very good with custom compartments for lens, body and accessories.
It helps prevent shipping damage.

Package contents:

1. Lens and 3M mount.
2. Camera Body and 3m mount.
3. 12v to dual 5v USB converter.
4. custom mini HDMI to mini HDMI cable.
5. USB to mini USB cable.
6. Positive power cable with waterproof inline fuse.
7. Negative/ground cable.
8. Scotch lock connectors.
9. Zip ties.
10. Quick start guide.
11. Pier28 Business Card.

-->My package also came with optional handlebar mount.

Build quality is very good.
Feels solid and well designed.

The camera and other components are all black except the body has two lights on the front.

The idea here is to connect the 12v to 5v converter to power source using the two cables and then connecting the mini USB power to camera body.
The camera body connects to lens via mini HDMI cable.
One usb out of the converter is taped off so if using only one, no need to take that off.

Here is simulation hookup:

Lens only has mini HDMI input on the back.

Android app installation and settings:
Search for 'BulletHD' in the google playstore and you'll have few different ones.
You have to get the 'BULLETHD BIKER PRO' app.

After installation, turn the camera on and press Wi-Fi button to turn the Wi-Fi.
Launch the app and it'll find 'BIKER-PRO' wi-fi network:
Select the 'BIKER-PRO' network, enter the password and connect.

No problem.

FYI, I'm told by the developer that additional, smaller than 5 minute loop options are coming in a new firmware/software menu update.

Pressing the files icon brings up list of the recorded files:
File names are generic FILE####.MOV format.

Looks like you have to have SD card in the camera to turn the wi-fi on.
I turned it on without SD card and it beeped and flashed quick and turned off.

When it's turned on with SD card, pressing wi-fi button makes blue and orange led's blink back and forth.
Once it connects to wi-fi, the blue and orange led's flash very slowly.

Here is a video of that Wi-Fi test with/without SD card:

Will add footage soon.

Finally got around testing the BulletHD BIKER PRO as a dashcam.
I used Innovv C3's sticky tripod mount to hold the lens on the windshield.

A 5 minute clip is around 645 mb in size and VBR is 17.6 mbps.

Daytime screenshots:
All areas are in focus and very clear footage.
My dashboard reflection is the cause of some fuzzy areas in the corners.

When it takes more than 3 minutes finding a parking spot in dedicated underground parking garage, you know you are very late arriving at work. Had to go down 3 levels.
Audio replaced...

Afternoon drive:

Daytime video quality is very good for NT96655 based camera.
All areas are in focus and clear.
Audio is pretty good except has some hiss at few places, could be FM interference.

More tests to follow...

It's pretty good where there is at least some light.
Dark areas are pretty dark like other NT based dashcams.
There are some pixelation at dark spots but they should be dark anyways.

Hi thanks for chatting live on our Pier28 site. In summary.

128GB cards are not supported. but might work if you manually format them FAT32 in a PC.
(32GB or 64GB Transcend or Lexar is best)
Sandisk is not generally supported in dashcam products long term. They use a proprietary controller that can flip into read only mode.

If you delete everything off the card using your computer, the next time you insert the card back into the alien head and power on, the settings.txt file will be re-created

Be sure you're on the new 2016 firmware. (use a 32GB card to do the update)

DO NOT BUY TILL ISSUES ARE ADDRESSED!!

I purchsed the bikerpro twin-pack round September 2016 and so far it has been dissapointing with a few issues.

1. Sometimes (randomly) recording ill just stop & that file is corrupted & unreadable.

2. One camera stops recording alltogether (even though it's on & card is empty)

3. file names go from "FILE0006" to "EVE0007" then back to "FILE0008".
i'm not sure if 'eve' is meant to be 'event' and its after the g-sensor detects a bump - but i have it set at 'low' and i have not had an incident. only pot holes and speed bumps.

4. The app has issues too.

5. the time changes on its own. connecting to the app seems to re-synch the time...till it changes on its own again!
and the time cant be set in the app or settings file.

6. USB power cable in the power converter comes loose. however i have used strong sticky tape to ensure they dont move & above issues still happen.

the above issues have been experienced on the latest firmware:BP2016071501 and with the "new" factory HDMI cables
they also happend with muliple cards, and with various settings.
