Dash Cam
More than I can review. ;)
Thank you @Veckle DashCam for providing mini 0906 dual dash cam for testing.
This camera is based on Novatek NT96663 chipset and Sony Exmor sensor (Front IMX290/291 and Rear IMX 322/323.
Both front and rear cameras record at 1080p resolution.
Front camera can record at higher resolutions if rear camera is not used.
It is available at Veckle's Amazon store here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/B0746BCFBF***************************************************
Note: So far it hasn't shut down on me so probably the heat issue is resolved.
Temperature reading on the screen has gone up to around 153 degrees Fahrenheit.
Will update after more tests.

I want to know more about this dash cam also.
Since I am a total Noob, After reading this amazing forum for many days (obsessed) and other sites, I am trying to decide which will be MY FIRST DASH CAM.

Viofo A119s or 0906 Veckle

Why does the Veckle 0906 show multiple sensors listed - Front IMX290/291 and Rear IMX 322/323?

Good question, my guess is so that people searching for a camera with a Sony IMX 322 sensor will find it even though it actually uses the newer Sony IMX 323.
It's not something to worry about, they are both good sensors.

Hi @Sunny , thanks for these videos! But we noticed that you wrote a wrong title on YouTube. It's Mini 0906, not 0806. Can you correct that? :)
For some reason, 806 was in my mind.
Corrected.

Sincerely to tell you that there is a main difference, the effect of night vision between two kinds of imx. The recording of front cam mainly involve in the decision of primary responsibility (ourselves) if there is any collision. So that the front cam choose more eximious night vision(290/291) than the rear cam(322/323). By the way, sincerely to tell you that the front imx 290 is the same effect(vision) as imx 291. We adopt two models is only for stable supply, reduce the impact of a certain kind of model if out of stock. So does the rear cam(322/323).

Few more rear camera videos: There's a bad reflection on the rear window due to a big white box that I was hauling.
Motorcycle cop that I didn't see.
I was going 63mph @ 55mph zone but thankfully, it was not something he considered worth to pull over.

A nice sunny day:

Hello. I am very interested in purchasing this Veckle dash cam from Amazon in the US. I was ready to order, but stopped when I couldn't find out if it has the GPS mount or not. GPS is pretty important to me. It seems as though it does from this review, but there is absolutely no mention of GPS anything at all on the Amazon page. One of the Amazon questions asks about it, and you say no it is not included. So is the GPS mount included or not? Another question is, what kind of warranty does it have?

Hi Camaware, the former version has GPS mount. But the later version will not. If you'd like a GPS mount, order as soon as possible

The vids look good, equal to what I expect from these Sony sensors. And the bitrate both front and rear puts most of the competition to shame :p As always, Sunny's reviews are great, especially in showing real-world results in many different lighting conditions :D

I think it would be better if the Amazon advertising mentioned the supercaps in the product description; I could only find that by reading the owner's manual, and as batteries were the main point of failure in earlier "Mini" series cams this difference is important to make note of. Plus there are many of us in hotter climates who cannot use battery-based cams so that is the first thing we look for in reading about a new product ;) One worry I have is that the specs for storage temperature go down only to -20C (-4F) which could be a problem for a huge number of people who park outdoors. Even here in the warm Southern US it can get that cold or colder, and much of the world sees worse :( Actual testing to lower temps may give an improvement with this or it may take some re-design but it needs to do better here.

I'm hoping that time proves this cam reliable as it has a lot in it's favor otherwise, and we need to have more affordably-priced 2-channe cams like this one

Hi Phil, thanks for your support! ;)

the suggested operating temperature of our mini 0906 is from -10°C to 60°C (14°F-140°F).

The storage/operating temperature showed on manual is a suggested temperature. We will test it to lower temps in the future. May update on the basic of the following tests and the feedback from our customers.:)

Most of the temperature specifications stated by electronic component manufacturers is very conservative; they do this to keep their reported failure level low. Actual testing will often show you that their limits can be exceeded considerably without excessive failure rates ;) Dashcams live a rough life with temps which go from arctic lows to desert highs so finding the widest range possible with your cams will net you more potential sales :D

Winter is coming soon.
Here in Denver, -10C or 14F in winter is pretty common.
We have many days where overnight temperature drops below 0F, upto -10F and even lower, specially with windchill factor.

For the high side spec of 140F, if you watch videos, it shows upto 153F temp on the bottom right.
It kept on recording so camera temperature goes above the spec all the time.
