More than I can review. ;)
Rexing sent this camera for review. Thank you Eric.
Rexing is already selling dashcams in China but is new in US market.

This MX3 is based on Allwinner chip and Samsung sensor.

Here are some pictures of the product:

The box is generic but has a sticker/label that designates it's Rexing MX3 model.

Similar to F9 that I reviewed here: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threa...-1080p-car-dvr-blackbox-dashcam-review.10473/

this MX3 also has all the buttons on the back on the sides of LCD and they light up similarly.

Front:

Side-by-side with Dome G90:
Size is similar to F9 or G1WH.

Below pictures are from Rexingusa.com:
Left side of LCD has mini HDMI and microSD card slots.

Right side of LCD has rear camera plug in port, mini USB charging port and GPS port.

Bottom front has microphone hole all by itself:

Top has mount connection and that's it, pretty clean:

Menu options are very limited compared to F9 but enough.

More coming up...

File structure is pretty simple:
Front has a folder with A at the end:
DCIM>DCIMA>LOCK
DCIM>DCIMA>NORMAL
Front folder also has a map file for GPS logs. GPS works pretty good.
Rear has a folder with B at the end:
DCIM>DCIMB>LOCK
DCIM>DCIMB>NORMAL
File-folder.jpg

The file size below are for 2 minute clips.
It has loop option of 1, 2, 5 minutes or off.

I'm not sure if this is the case with dual dashcams or something but VBR is really low on these clips.
Front is around 7mbps @ 20 fps and rear is only around 2mbps @ 23 fps (Not sure why rear has more fps). Dual channel Lukas 7950 also has around 7mbps front and 5mbps rear (Lukas is full 1080p rear).

Front is decent quality on MX3 considering the low VBR with 20fps but obviously the rear quality suffers.

Some screenshots:
Front is pretty good.

Frame 2015.03.29 18-27-55 (0-01-51.013).jpg

Rear is only 720*480 @ 23fps so it's 480p, not 720p:
There is not much that can be done in that many pixels.

There is a constant knocking/clicking sound issue in the videos that I'm trying to figure out so videos will be uploaded after that's figured out.

this is the same solution as what's in a lot of the i1000, F70 etc models, it's a value for money proposition (nicest way to put it) not really about performance and probably not up to what most users here would expect, if it's at least reliable and well built it probably has an edge over some of those others

I see. For the price and convenience of having dual channel, it's an option but as you said, can't compare rear cam against other mainstream dashcams.
My expectations are also pretty high after going through a dozen dashcams. :D

Looks like dual channel processor is not the same as what we think of combining two dashcams. Hmm...

BTW, audio is very good, loud and clear without any distortion.

Sunny day front:
Rear:

Only in Denver, Colorado.
Yesterday, it was over 70 degrees and today it's below freezing and snowing...

Night video from pitch black street to lots of traffic lights... light rain and snow.
It's pretty good when there is some light like on high beams or under street/traffic lights.
Front: VBR @ 6940 kbps, 19.769 fps

Frame 2015.04.02 20-04-21 (0-02-29.956).jpg

Rear: VBR @ 2111 kbps, 24.050 fps

One unique menu option in MX3 is color mode.
It has the following choices:
Null
Black and white
Negative
Ancient
Light blue

Not sure if they'll be any useful in dashcam but fun nevertheless.
Here is a black and white video sample. :D

And a B&W screenshot:

Test video on battery power:

One more video from few days ago...

To conclude, Front channel is pretty good. GPS logger works excellent and catches signal pretty quick.
Has the dual channel so covers the rear as well which is an all in one solution but rear camera can only add support to the front video since rear cam on it's own captures vehicles and incidents but cannot provide too much details like license plates unless they are right behind.

Forgot to mention the dual channel GPS player that comes with the CD and is also available to download from the product page:
http://www.rexingusa.com/upload/GPSPlayer.zip

It works good and automatically plays the corresponding rear channel as long as the original folder/file structure is there.

RexingMX3-GPSPlayer-1.jpg

Plays both front and rear clips together.
Rear clip is on the top right corner.
Displays current time, latitude, longitude, speed (current, max, average for that clip), distance of the clip, plus map with location and a speedometer.
Also, option available is to get screenshot from the player.
Looks pretty nice.

Can 'View Large Map':

that's a clunky player, it did help me debug a GPS problem once though that nobody could work out due to the way it pulls the time info from the files, for that I was very grateful

Playing with combining videos, here is front and rear combined.
Both are at their original size, front is 1980p wide and rear is 720p wide.

Good to see this piece. I did see your (@Sunny's) reviews in Amazon, but I did not see the Dash Cam listing there. Who is selling this dashcam for US markets?

Are there any comparison between Rexing MX3 Dual Channel and other Duel lens discussed in DCT?

Thanks for insights.

There are various versions of this camera from various sellers.
Rexing used to sell it at their amazon store.
However, there are much better options nowadays.

Thanks for your reply.

Do you mind, sharing better options nowadays?

Thanks for sharing.

Blacksys CF-100.
Any dual channel from Lukas, BlackVue, Stree Guardian.
