Hello. I just purchased my first dash cam (that being a Rexing V1 - 4K Ultra HD Car Dash Cam 2.4" LCD Screen) and I had a question regarding the way in which the unit should be powered. The lighter socket of my truck provides a constant 12VDC whether the ignition key is on or not. I've done some initial fiddling around with the camera just to get the feel for how it works and I notice that it does actually draw a bit more current from the vehicle battery than I thought it might. I just replaced my battery and am a bit weary of a continuous draw on the battery (the fact that the camera gets a little warm tells me that it draws more than a few milliamps. Is this mitigated by some "parking" feature that enables the camera only when it detects motion or shock to the vehicle?
As I mentioned, I just got this and haven't had the time yet to squint my way through that tiny manual for an answer. Thank you.. any help would be apperciated.
