hi,

i have finally decided to jump into dashcam after countless near miss from idiot road users. I am looking for good mount kit for civic fk3 windscreen, mobius, 32/64 gb card, hardwire wire and other bits that i have missed. my question is what is best supported card and required capacity for 10hr recording max.

Kingston, Transcend, and PNY have very good reputations with Mobius. You'll need a 64GB card but even then it probably won't go 10 hours unless you drop down to 30FPS. Mine goes around 8 1/2 to 9 hours @60FPS, haven't really checked it though. SanDisk is a no-go; some use them but most have trouble with them.

Chinese mega-stores have problems with fake cards, slow shipping, and lost shipments; use PayPal when shopping them (and knock wood). Amazon does some fakes too but you're better covered against problems there.

There is deal on amazon - free £5 gift card when you use click n collect with pass my parcel, hence bought nextbase hardwire [emoji2]

Is there a way to format sdcard and if possible can u share your video setting and card u r using atm..

Thank u Russ. I will use your guide and setting once banggood ship my order, they were in stock when I ordered yesterday.

I hoped it would be 3 business day for delivery from EU warehouse. Can I use that Samsung evo 64gb card or there is something better for this kit?

I also heard about firmware updates, which one is stable atm.

I've briefly used the Samsung (32GB version) in my Mobius, before transferring it to the Shadow GT550 in my girlfriend's car. I would probably get this Kingston instead...

Yours will likely have the latest firmware, none are bad. I have used a 32GB Samsung EVO card in 2 different typres of cams with good results and had kept it for a spare. I formatted it then put it away in it's case, but when I checked it about 2 months later it would not recognize the card and it couldn't be formatted. I'm not sure what happened. Several others have used the 64GB EVO card with good results so I think you'll be OK, but since these cards do not last forever I'd make the next one a Kingston, PNY, or Transcend as they seem to work best in Mobius.

My settings are default except for loop recording (you do have to set that, it's not default) and I like 5 minute file size. Do look at the settings to see what this cam is capable of, few dashcams have the range of adjustability the Mobius does- it's quite a cam for the price.

i cant make msetup work. camera doesn't show connected.

ps. i have no sdcard inserted.

Just did a quick drive with 1080 30fps recording with 3 min split. Each video takes 396mb space. Can anyone share me how much 720 60fps takes?

The field of view in 720p/60 is approximately 65°, which is too narrow for use as a dashcam.
 
I'm using a Lexar 128GB class 10 which I bought off Amazon. Formatted using the guiformat prog found elsewhere on here. Set to 1080p @30fps and maximum bitrate. I'm getting about 22hrs' recording time.

Yeah, I will stick to 1080
