Dash Cam
10 years, many dashcams
A bit expensive.

Will they be warranted for use in dash cams, surveillance cams, etc.? Seem to remember those uses have been excluded from warranty coverage with their other products - and other manufacturers as well.

I have not looked close on the cards and warrenty.

Price seem up there i agree, but then it might force other to sell ther cards cheaper, would love to see 128 & 200 Gb Lexar 633X cards become a little cheaper.

Same goes for the 1000X lexar card though i am not sure dashcams work with those.

And others offcourse :)

I think you can safely recomend the new Toshiba exceria cards @Pier28 , i have just about filled my new 128 Gb card 2 times now, and there have been zero issues in the 9665GC.

will keep the 128Gb card in the 9665GC for another full circle of recordings, but then i will transfer it to the X camera for compatibility testing.

I purchased a Sandisk 200GB MicroSD card from Adorama a few weeks back for $40 with free shipping.
I guess they were trying to flush the pipeline of the older product. It comes in at 184GB in my new Droid
Turbo 2 smartphone.

Malodave

40 buks thats not bad at all

I got my 128 Gb Toshiba experia U3 card from Amazon uk and its prized at 50 buks annd is the cheapest 128 Gb U3 card on amazon.uk

the 200GB cards had a $249 rrp on release and now sell on Amazon for $79.99 all day which is only a few dollars over cost price, won't take long for the 256GB cards to drop as well, the drop seems to happen quicker once a second vendor has the same size available

New card from WD/Sandisk.

The 256GB SanDisk Extreme microSDXC UHS-I card will be available worldwide in Q4 2016 with a U.S. MSRP of $199.99. The 256GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card, Premium Edition, will be available worldwide in August 2016 with a U.S. MSRP of $149.99.

The only SanDisk card that I've been able to get to work in both of my dash cams is the High Endurance line.

My 64gb Transcend Premium 300x class 10 card took a dump. I need a new one. What card should I be looking for to replace it? The SD High Endurance looks like a good bet. Is there something else I should look at while keeping in mind that I don't want to spend any more than I have to?
Does anyone know of a good deal right now on a good 64gb?
A118C cam by the way.

haha my 300 x lexar just did the same, its now a completely empty card in read only mode

Same as happened to my card. It keeps saying it is write protected no matter what utility I use to try to format it.

Its a darn thing, this is the second time this card do that, and both times i dident even get to fill the 64Gb of data on it.
And yes it is a genuine card, when i sent the old card back to the Amazon seller i got the new one from the factory.

I have ordered this one from amazon.uk to replace the dead lexar card.

Somthing amazon sell and ship.

Thanks guys. I am more looking for durability than peak performance.

cards based on MLC memory should last longer, but its hard to tell which is based on MLC or not, it is not allways adverticed by the factory.

I think there is a thread on here where its talked about, but i cant seem to find it.

No matter what never trust your memory card, look it over once in a while, and a in camera format of the card wont hurt either.

The trancend i have ordered is MLC based.

The new Toshiba cards ( 2016 models ) should allso be made with MLC flash, at least it say my 128Gb card is that.

OK, Time to spring for the new 64mb micro SD card. I see a price under $20 for the Samsung Evo for $18.00 shipped at Newegg. Anyone have any thoughts on these?
Since I believe my last one died due to heat, I am looking for something that can handle the heat. This is from the specs on the SD Card:
Environmental Specs
  • OPERATING TEMPERATURE
    -25℃ to 85℃

  • NON-OPERATING TEMPERATURE
    -40℃ to 85℃
http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/memory-storage/MB-MP64DA/AM
That would be up 185F.
Would this be a good card for my A118C?

I dont think my cam will take a card over 64gb. It is only rated for 32gb but it seems you can get away with a 64gb. I doubt it would accept the 256. Besides, I dont have prime.

hehe by chance i saw that card on amazon yesterday, and i almost fell off my office chair
