Hey guys,

Do you guys think this is a good option for the SD card for the a119s?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00V5Q1K3O

Not sure class 10 alone is it is fast enough for 1080p60 this thing pumps out (the camera that is)

Currently, I have a placeholder sd card in it (some class 4 one thats 16gb, unknown brand, but it works)

Cheers.

that card is fine for the A119S

And that speed (" up to 20MB/s") is fine for 1080p60? There will be no degradation in quality (making it harder to see the license plates, etc).

ps: thanks for info, and possible followup

Not trying to spend your money, but if you bump up to a larger card, I have been using these with zero problems. They play back thru my phone and tablet with a adapter, also.

I have been using Kingston Gold micro card SDHC, 32 GB with my A119S since Aug 24, 2017 (8 months) and it has performed perfectly. It has many features.

Kingston Gold Model SDCG/32GBCR, 32GB, Micro SD HC Card, Class 10 , FAT32, UHS-I Speed Class (U3), 4K Ultra HD, withstands high and low temperatures.
Performance 90MB/s R & 45MB/s W, Made in Taiwan.

I have 2 of them and alternate them about every 2 weeks.

End report:

Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 41.3 MByte/s
Reading speed: 42.7 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

Seems to be a valid (official) one.

That video is outdated. (2016)

It was recommended to avoid SanDisk Ultra cards for years, but I think those days are finally over. The new A1 series SanDisk Ultra is 667x and they are proving to be great. (finally)

I use Samsung EVO plus 64GB U3 and 128GB U3 without any issues --> my recommendation.

I've used Transcend 400X for nearly a year and a Samsung EVO U1 for the past six months. No issues with either.

I agree with OCD Tronic, times have changed.
Responsible manufacturers always want to produce a good product.
Further, they only want it sold by reputable retail outlets.
My eBay seller in China recommended a couple of micro sdhc brands.
I bought my micro sdhc from a local Best Buy where I could walk in.
If something went wrong with the card I could just walk in and resolve it.
It doesn't matter to me if I pay $5 or $10 more from a local retailer.
I'm getting convenient service and support for an inexpensive item.

I thought this might be a useful post to anyone wanting to learn more about micros sd cards.
Here is a link below the the micro card association:
MICRO SD Association
I think it may assist in determining the micro card that best meets your specific needs.

My 32GB Kingston Gold Series micro card has served me well and given satisfactory service for almost a year.
The manufacturer has come out with a new upgraded version micro sd card, called the Canvas Go Series.
I have updated and replaced my old style micro sd hc card with the new 32GB Kingston Canvas Go Series.
I’ll add how it performs later once I’ve used it for awhile.
Here is manufacture’s link:
Canvas Go! Class 10 Micro SDHC/SDXC Cards - 32GB-128GB | Kingston

My thinking is if I keep both my FW and Micro SD cards up to date they will shake hands better.
Edit update: installed new Canvas Go, works great, no issues..

Just an update.... The newest model Transcend 64GB card is linked below.

Since buying my first Viofo dashcam, I've only used
