SD card taken from Blackvue camera to view files in Blackvue App

I have taken the SD card from the blackvue camera and when I install the SD into the SD card reader on my laptop it says I must format it? If I do that then the files will no longer be on the SD card. Crappy!!
 
Can you find the files without using the Backvue program? You "should" be able to navigate to the USB folder with Windows Explorer and then go to Blackvue > Record folder and see all the files.. the video should be viewable with any player.
