SD cards and Chromebook

Any clues as to why the data on my SD card from my nextbase dashcam cannot be viewed on a Chromebook? I can 'see' the files, but that's about it.
Works fine on Windows btw.
It's a real head-scratcher for this wrong side of 70 pensioner!

How old is the Chromebook? Older ones may not be able to manage 4K resolution.
You could try a different video playback app, VLC media player tends to work on almost anything, although it may not play smoothly.
