Re: searching for a dash cam

Hi,

Check out the Koonlung HD-609. We sell it as a button camera, but it would work fine as a dash camera (and I think Koonlung actually makes Dash cams as well, but we don't sell them). It's a very small camera, 1080P video recording (though video quality isn't as good as a camera with a bigger lens). Motion Activated and it has an internal power source. Not a bad device, but maybe a little bit pricier than what you're looking for?

I just checked it out and can say it looks nice. I might just order one. Thanks for the heads up.

Can you provide some RAW video files from night and day.

Also, what is aperture and bit-rate?

HD-609 is a well known camera under various brands. Check these videos:

Night videos are non-existent, pitch black really bad image.
This model has never been designed to be used as a dashcam

I am aware of that taker.im review. It is nearly 10 month ago. I was thinking if maybe something has changed with specs?
I still can can see 3LUX in "new specs", it means very bad night revording.

I almost ordered this model because I really liked the size and form factor, but it's useless because of video quality. So then I got something average for $100, and meanwhile will be waiting for jokiin's new camera. It will be aprox. same size as HD-609 and same design idea.

I also like hd-609 design idea, but with video quality as dod ls300w, then it would be my perfect choice.
