Settings Reset After Unplugging!

I have to remove my SG everytime I get out of my car because I learned my lesson from my last camera not to keep it in the boiling heat. The problem is however that it resets all settings after I unplug it so things I changed like the device name at the bottom, the time, and the MPH indicator is all reset to default. What am I doing wrong?

which model do you have? and out of curiosity, what model was the old cam that was ruined by heat? assuming you have the 9665gc, you don't need to worry about heat since it uses capacitors instead of a battery.

capacitors or not it still doesn't hurt to remove them in extreme weather

need more details, model number, firmware version etc, the settings are not reliant on power to hold in any of the models so maybe something unusual going on

I assume it's SG9665GC ?
