Hello everyone, thanks in advance for the help.
I recently bought a new 2022 Kia k5 gt line w/premium package, and was trying to hardwire the SG9663DCPRO+ cam today. (I bought the correct fuse tap kit, micro 2 fuse taps and got everything set up.)
However, the L-shaped fuse tap doesn't fit into the fuse box. Not in the sense that you can't maneuver it around so that the wiring doesn't fit... the L-fuse tap is too fat. (Pictures below). Kia has put some sort of plastic safety thing around fuse slots on the fuse box so that the fuse doesn't move/cannot easily be taken out (and they provide a tool in the hood) which make putting the fuse tap impossible since dimensions don't match up.
Any suggestions? Really would like to hardwire without sanding down the plastic L-fuse tap, and already stuck on dashcam on the windshield.
Thanks,
Also any suggestions for which fuses I should hardwire to, if I can at all?
