I have bought a new SGGCX2 a week ago and mounted yesterday. First testing drive and first missing recording.

Camera has set the G-sensor to low sensitivity, motion detection to off. There are no videos in RO folder. Camera is set to save 3min files. Mounted on the front window with GPS sensor. I am using new 128GB Kingston MicroSD class 10 U3 bought especially for the camera. Power is from cigarette lighter and no problems so far with this (I was driving with older camera of different brand for 4 years).

Testing drive was from home to shop, from shop to office and back home. Outside about 0°C, sunset. Drive from shop to office is completely missing. Driving to parking in front of the shop has name "2018_0115_144701_012.mov" and driving from the office home has name "2018_0115_154355_013.mov". So the file number order is also ok. Seems like nothing is missing. But there should be at least 30 minutes of drive.

Any idea what goes wrong? It is a little trouble I cannot rely on that camera is recording :-(

Please provide a link to the product page where you bought memory card from.

Sorry for inaccuracy, the card is not U3, but only U1: https://www.czc.cz/kingston-micro-sdxc-128gb-class-10-uhs-i-sd-adapter/179365/produkt Looks like it is this card: https://www.kingston.com/EN/flash/microsd_cards/sdc10g2
Card was formatted in the camera.

One more thing: there was a little hiccup on the lights (engine off, engine on) while driving in the critical missing part. I don't know if this event did not influence the camera not to save any files and not to record until new engine start.

That "hiccup" could be the reason, but also could be memory card issue.
I don't have experience with Kingston 128GB cards.
Transcend 400x, - high endurance, Samsung Evo Plus U3, Toshiba Exceria U3, - those have good feedback path in StreetGuardian 1ch dashcams.

OK, thanks for reply. I will monitor the camera and if I get some new info, I will post it here.
Maybe I will try the card checker, if the card is really OK, maybe another format in camera.

After each time you use microsd card to playback or copy files in other device (PC, pad, Mac etc.) it is recommended to format card inside dashcam before using it again.

I have had "a lot" of kingston cards die on me, but they was also all i had at one time so when you have 4-5 of them.
I did get them RMA some even several times before the replacement finally worked for me more than some weeks.

But i had all brands i had die on me, some even faster than any kingston card ever did, so its not like i have become a kingston hater at all.
Just prove buying memory cards where you can get good service and warranty are a good idea.

not sure what you mean about the hiccup, if your car cuts power for extended time during starting it's best to set the boot delay to 15 or 30 seconds depending on what you need, default setting is 5 seconds but some cars need longer delay, particularly diesel cars
