I got my new SGGX2 mounted in my daily driver. I added a tint strip to further enhance concealment. The camera and GPS antenna were mounted directly to the glass. I cut the tint around. The result is pretty discrete though I can't see the screen and status lights of the camera as it is right behind the rear view mirror.
From inside:
Outside view, sorry about the glare. No polarizer on the iPhone. You can see where the adhesive has not fully mated with the glass on the top left of the mirror. Unfortunately that is due to the curvature of my windshield. Probably could have put the tape on the glass first then stuck on the mount plate but that means less adhesive contact on the mounting plate.
