SGGCX2PRO Date Issues [SOLVED]

Hey all,

I'm having a really strange issue with my SGGCX2PRO. I received this as a warranty replacement about three months ago of my SG9665GCv1.

It seems that the the time and date always appear to be resetting and appears to completely stop recording at some point.

ie. On the memory card I have the following files:



2019_0105_034343_057.MP4 - This is me arriving at my daughter's swimming at 5:15PM.
2019_0105_041125_058.MP4 - Taking my daughter back home
2019_0105_041425_059.MP4 - Arriving Home at 6:00PM
2019_0105_050358_057.MP4 - Me leaving the gym at 7:00PM

I've formatted the memory card multiple times, including waiting 10 minutes out in the open for the GPS to get lock then reformatting the card, but still running into the same issue.

I've tried using the old memory card from my old dashcam, a Lexar 64GB, the current memory card is Sandisk Ultra A1 256GB, the issue appears on both.

There are files on the memory card with the correct date since I last reformatted (25th September) but it lasts about two days, then reverts back to the wrong date.

Can anyone help?

It's X2PRO+190321V1.22. Was the latest firmware when I checked a month ago, I can see there is a new firmware v1.29 assume I update to this?

yeah please update, make sure to reset default settings and format the card afterwards

side issue but but avoid using the Lexar card, those are problematic

Just confirming after a two weeks after updating, the dascham is working perfectly now.
