Red dot next to the camera icon is a RECording status icon. If it's blinks then it's records.
What is the firmware version of your dashcam?

It does blink.
I have the latest firmware for the Pro+

But I wonder what the danger in that is ?
I mean our address is already public. Same with license plates. Folks photo shop them out in posts yet your auto tags are read by anyone and everyone when you drive it.
