Shorter USB cable for rear camera

I am installing a Q800 Pro and would like to use a much shorter micro USB male-to-male cable than is supplied.

I searched amazon and they all seem to be “OTG” cables, and many of them explicitly state they only handle data, and not power.

Can anyone confirm a short (12inch/30cm) cable that would replace the standard USB cable for the rear cam?

try it before you install it ?
