So I just got the SJ5000x Elite and am playing around with it, trying out the various functions.
I left it on 4k video recording to see what the battery life was like and I noticed that it was getting very hot to the touch, hot enough to be unable to hold it for more than a few seconds. This was after about 30 minutes recording.
I would expect some sort of heat to be generated but when I stuck my infrared surface temperature gun on it I got a high of 56.4° Celcius (133° F)
Normal or a fire hazard??
