There are a lot of blue along edges of stiff bordering a white background, i have cut out a little for you to see.

Sorry, but this is a fake 16MP camera, it only has a 12MP sensor so taking 16MP images is stupid and instead of giving you extra resolution will cause blurring to the whole image and make the blue edges worse!

Does it have a 12MP photo mode for sharp photos?

The photography is not bad, apart from having your fingers in the photos, but you can always crop them out, starting with 16MP you will have plenty left ;)

Big fingers small camera

Dunno where i got the idea from the sensor was 16 mpix :cry: people really should stop putting in such settings when they can not be used to any good.

its like have the speedo in a 1.6 Golf diesel go to 300 km/h

Worst part i took a cool selfie with a tiger python i also filmed on the Sj6 Air today, but i must not have pressed the button properly cuz the photo are not there.
So i will have to go visit my new slinky friend again, i call hin friend he probably call me dinner :) but i have handled a +4 M king python so that little tiger python dont scare me.

My monkey friends was gone from the rain forest so was the Tapirs that use to be there too.

The SJ6 has a real 16MP sensor, gets confusing when they put in stupid modes. My G3 only has two choices for photo resolution and they are both native sensor resolution so you really can't go wrong with that!

Yes seem like we have to put some pressure at least on the brands that care, non native resolutions just do not work.
Phones prove that the best phone cameras are not the ones with the largest pixel count.

Must be the Sj6 ( legend ) i been thinking off, and the Air as i recall are 14 mpix native, but as i recall also have a silly 16 mpix mode.

Which modes do you think are not needed? G3 just has 16mp and 14mp?

is that a ferret or some sort of raccoon?

The highest resolution available should be the same as the sensor resolution, anything higher can not be real since the data is not available. Claiming that it is a 16MP camera when it only has a 12MP sensor is a fake claim.

What options you give for lower resolutions will depend on your customers, possibly there are some that still want to use VGA 640 resolution? But probably not!

I think that is some South American exotic squirrel, they also have some others running around that look more like the Danish squirrels.
I do like its Orange arms.
I will go back soon to get some more pictures taken with the native 12 mpix of the sensor, the 16 mpix ones above are not good enough due to them being 16 mpix.
But in the days to come i will be a little busy as i have to be uncle / friend to my nice and help her with some stuff

It would be good if the camera just had 12 mpix for maximum, and it would also be cool if you had a 4K photo with the same size/format as when filming, cuz they way you could insert a 4 K picture in a 4K video and not have to crop anything.

I dident get it on tape cuz there was some memory card issued at first so i had to format it, but i almost lost a SJ 6 camera again, this time to a 1.5 M large Arapaima fish that tried to eat the camera i put down in the huge fish tank.
I will have to be careful doing that it is big strong fish that will tear apart my selfiepole in a blink of the eye.

Arapaima have been known to kill fishermen, not by eating them but by hitting them with their massive body snapping the humans neck or knocking him unconscious and then drown if he fall out of canoo.

Yes i am not super happy about this pic due to the metering, i will just have to hope it is resting in the same place next time, this are right inside the door to the African part.
Shooting with the native 12 mpix the pictures should come out better.

That's exactly what the Gitup G3 has :)

Just took some pictures today in the rainforrest, most are not good as the camera dont seem to want to use a ISO value over 150, and you really have to do that in the lighting conditions of today.
I would say at least ISO 400 - 800 for indoor shooting ( in a glass house ) with the kind of summer we have in Denmark this year.
Too bad i got a really food framed selfie, but as the camera used such a low ISO value and consequently low exposure too ( 1:50 second ) then the handheld selfie are completely blurred.

So i will have to not use automatic ISO next time as that's no good at the moment, even the pictures i took outside use that same low ISO ( 100 ) on a cloudy day, i would have used ISO 200 at the least.
with my back to the sun the camera used ISO 100 and a 1:300 exposure, only pictures taken towards the sun seem more sensible with a ISO 100 and 1:2000 exposure.
Also today shooting 12 MP pictures 4000 x 3000 i had that blue vingnetting in areas where darkness border light.
Will have to do a static test as soon as i can get some steady light levels.

I visit the jungle again with the SJ cameras, this time i was shooting pics with the Sj7 star in its native 12 mpix resolution ( 4000 X 3000 )
Also this time i set ISO to 400 instead of the automatic setting where the sj7 seem to want to go to lowest ISO setting as soon as it can, and ISO 100 dont work in these light conditions as it will trigger a very slow exposure time.

That bluing on the border of shadow and light are still there at this resolution.

Okay, shared with our fw dev team. Thanks!

Maybe share it with your lens dev team too, it will be the lens creating the blue bits, although maybe the fw can deal with them a little better.

Yeah i am not quite sure as to what cause those blue bits, but some pictures that have a lot of light dark mosaic you will notice it even if not zooming into the parts of the image.

From looking at the pictures i have taken it is as if it are more pronounced towards the edges of the frame.

It is because the lens is focusing the blue light into a slightly larger image than the red and green light, so the edges of the over exposed very white areas are in a different place for the blue sensors. Where it isn't over exposed the result is just a slightly blurry image towards the corners of the image. The lens looks OK for a 1080 image, but is not really up to 4K standard, but maybe that is why it is one of the cheaper real 4K cameras, good lenses are expensive.
